Aroha is hand-dyed by the gorgeous Helene at Happy Go Knitty on yarn bases produced in small New Zealand and Australian mills. We adore Helen’s warm and nuanced colour palette.
A wonderful yarn spun here in NZ – merino-cross mixed with coloured polwarth. It’s an artisan yarn that varies every year. This year it has been spun with a variegated and marled look. The yarn is woollen spun, so it’s very light and blooms when being blocked which makes it work well for 4ply as well as 5ply gauge. Beautiful for stranded and fair isle knitting. Suitable for garments, hats, scarves, mittens and big, cosy shawls. This yarn is not superwash treated.
