Come and join us for a knit and a chat! Bring your knitting, grab a cuppa and have a chat with your fellow yarn people. Knitters, crocheters, spinners, felters of any level are welcome, and if you are not (yet) a fiber artist you’re welcome to come along anyway, and you just might learn a thing or two.
Thursday Mornings 10am- 2pm
Friday Evenings 4pm-8pm
StevenBe is coming to town, and he’s going to be offering a workshop at Loopine Wool shop! **Spaces Are Limited**
Steven introduces another popular knitting technique that will take your projects to the next level. If you’ve ever admired any of the beautiful brioche knits dominating Ravelry right now and though “I could never do that”, this is the workshop for you! Steven will ease you into the basics of brioche knitting with one and then two colors all while creating a Cowl to keep you warm.
What to Pack in your Knitting Bag:
-A 6.5mm (US 10.5) 24″ circular needle (if you’re a loose knitter, also bring a 5.5mm/ US 9 needle)
-200 yards each of 2 highly contrasting colours of worsted to aran weight yarn (Steven recommends that one of your colours be a self-striping or gradient colorway).
*You can also purchase your yarn from the shop on that day if you don’t have the right yarn at home!
-A notebook and pen or pencil for taking copious notes
-Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle, tape measure and scissors
-A work-in-progress or finished project for show and tell!
